Greutzi Reader

I really wanted to see Dune 2 last week. And I asked some friends of mine to come along.

I have been waiting for the sequel for what seems like years. So, I was pumped to say the least.

The only problem was that I was working in Zurich and had to leave my backpack and gym gear somewhere because I could not carry it all with me to the cinema!

Maybe you have the same problem when moving hotels in Switzerland? Checking out, but not sure where to put your luggage?

Lucky I have a post full of luggage storage options for most of the popular spots in Switzerland :> Just pick your town or city from the list.

Let's get on with today's newsletter...

Mountain Excursion

SCHILTHORN - 007

Are you a fan or James Bond?

Or perhaps just like stunning views of the Alps with fun cliff-hanging walks along the way? Then the Schilthorn near Lauterbrunnen is just the ticket!

SWISS CITIES

Zurich, Is It Just Banks?

As a "boring" city full of secret Swiss bank accounts, you might think Zurich is just a place to land your plane?

Think again! It's one of my favorite cities, and there is so much to see and do (Youtube Video here) that you could spend a week there. Post below.

SWISS TIP OF THE DAY

Tipping in Switzerland is optional.

There, I said it. Yes, salaries in Switzerland are high enough that you are not required to tip.

Sure, it is appreciated, and if you are staying at a 5-star hotel they might be a little more "expected", but on the whole Swiss treat tipping very differently.

Read all about it below.

MUSEUMS Of ZURICH

So Many Funs Ones To Choose From

Since I am talking a little bit about Zurich today. I thought I would share my list of top Zurich museums with you.

Some are far more exciting than you would imagine, even if you are not a museum lover (I am normally not). They include sports, chocolate, trams, history, art, graphics, and more.

NEED HELP PLANNING YOUR TRIP?

This Is How I Can Help...

With over 22 years of living in Switzerland, I know the country like the back of my hand. So, why not make the most of my knowledge and experience to help plan your trip.

SWISS IMAGE OF THE DAY (Submit yours)

Since I am talking about Zurich museums (above) I thought it would be fun to share this "insane wall of Lindt balls"!

This is in the world's largest Lindt shop at the Home of Chocolate Museum in Zurich. Chocolate yourself to death :>

VIDEO OF THE DAY

USEFUL: How to use Swiss Train Ticket Machines

No, not a video of me sky diving off the Schilthorn.

BUT, you will thank me if you have to buy a train ticket while in Switzerland. It is not as simple as it looks (but easier than you feared).

5 May 2024 Sometimes I feel like I am scaring people Reader When I have my travel consultation calls with my clients, I always warn them to be prepared for the weather. That does not mean you can do anything on a rainy day. Instead you have to be just avoid heading up into the mountains and maybe do a city trip...
